Last week, acclaimed authors Dan Santat and Lisa Yee engaged with students in grades 3rd-5th during a dynamic presentation. The duo captivated the audience with the tale of how illustrator Dan Santat honed his drawing skills, tracing back to his discovery of a library book in sixth grade. Likewise, author Lisa Yee shared her unconventional start in the writing world, crafting menus, commercial jingles, and the text for frozen food boxes.
