On Monday, the entire 8th grade participated in a day of service at the MLK Regional Shoreline with “Save the Bay” and at the Alameda County Community Food Bank. As it was Earth Day, students picked up over 25 pounds of trash at the shoreline and removed 35 pounds of invasive weeds. At the Food Bank, they packaged over 13,000 pounds of food for families. They had a great time and reflected on their experiences of the day in their advisory groups.
