Bentley School inspires inquiry, academic excellence, personal achievement, and character.
With these goals in mind, we welcome and appreciate the diversity of learning styles that all students bring to our community.

The School Counselor works closely with classroom teachers, Advisors, Deans, and Division Directors to provide social-emotional support to students and families in the Bentley community. As an integral part of the school, the School Counselor helps students navigate the challenges of development in an inclusive, warm, and safe environment.

Advisory Program
Complementing the academic program is our vibrant advisory program. Each advisory consists of a group of twelve students from the sixth, seventh, and eighth grades that meets daily with a faculty advisor. Advisors guide the academic, social, and emotional growth of the advisees. Weekly Town Hall meetings allow the entire Middle School to come together to discuss events within Bentley School and the greater community. These meetings provide students with the opportunity to share their personal successes and concerns, as well as those of other people. Students learn leadership skills in Student Council. Buddy programs with Lower School students help our Middle School students to mentor their younger counterparts.
Learning Support Services
The Learning Support Services team helps students do their best learning as they develop the confidence to plan, organize, self-advocate, and match tools and techniques with their individual learning styles, strengths, and challenges. As a result, students are able to demonstrate their knowledge of academic material at a developmentally appropriate level. Additionally, the Learning Support Services team aids teachers in their understanding of research-based teaching strategies and learning accommodations.
