The Future City of “Quilinacea:” Powered by Clean, Green, and Renewable Energy Sources Designed by Bentley Students.
A group of Bentley students rallied together this past fall to organize and compete in an STEM/engineering competition called Future City. They spent many hours gathering in the evening and on weekends to compile a vision like no other.
This year’s Future City Competition challenged participants to imagine and design future cities that are fully electric and powered by clean, green, and renewable energy sources. Competitors needed to present their visions of the future through a city essay, a scale model, a project plan, and a presentation.
On January 20, the group went to Stratford School in San Jose to share their work in the regionals. Their city, “Quilinacea,” won two awards! Best Land Surveillance Practices and the People’s Choice Award. Thank you to this group for sharing your vision and presentation with us during Town Meeting, and to the families who supported these students in their pursuit to make the future world a better place!
Please come check out “Quilinacea,” which is currently on display in Hiller’s main office.
