Our kindergarten class recently reached a big milestone – 100 days of school! But did we just spend the day counting? Not a chance! We started off with a fun twist, dressing up as what we thought we might look like at 100 years old. Imagine tiny tots with oversized glasses, canes, and even a few 'wisdom-enhancing' gray hairs!
Then, it was time to put our STEM skills to the test with 100-themed challenges! We dove into building with 100 pattern blocks, crafting party hats fit for centenarians. Ever wondered what you could create with 100 cubes? We did too, and the results were amazing! Tower-building with 100 cups became a mini architectural feat, with lots of giggles and careful counting. And who knew pipe cleaners could transform into 'gray hair' masterpieces? We fashioned funky glasses in all shapes and sizes, perfect for our imaginary 100-year-old selves.
But the fun didn't stop there! We embarked on an exciting chocolate kiss hunt, deciphering numbers on the bottoms to put them in order. It was a sweet challenge, but someone had to do it!
During literacy, we put our phonological awareness to the test, coming up with 100 rhymes. Inspired by our future selves, we wrote hilarious predictions about life at 100. Spoiler alert: lots of sleeping, reading books, and enjoying soup!
And last but not least, we tackled the mighty number 100 itself, breaking it down and working with it like pros. Who knew math could be so much fun?
So there you have it – 100 days of kindergarten, celebrated in style! Learning sure can be a barrel of laughs. Here's to many more days of adventures, laughter, and learning ahead!
