Intro to Visual Arts Field Trip: Exploring Takashi Murakami's 'Monsterized' at the Asian Art Museum

Freshman students enrolled in Introduction to Visual Arts visited the Asian Art Museum in San Francisco last week to catch the final week of “Monsterized,” a major exhibition showcasing the work of Japanese contemporary artist Takashi Murakami. In addition to viewing the spectacular sculptures and monumental silkscreen panels included in the show, students also had a chance to view the permanent collection in the museum. It was a fun-filled day that will surely inspire the future work of our aspiring artists.
