In celebration of "Pi Day" on Thursday, Upper School students brought many engaging activities to the Hiller campus, all centered around the Pi equation. Kindergarten students immersed themselves in the concept of the Pi symbol while delighting in decorating cookies adorned with this newfound image. 1st graders unleashed their creativity through crown decorations, while 2nd graders collaborated on decoding a puzzle with their partners. 3rd graders embarked on crafting their interpretations of "Pi," while 4th graders delved into constructing colorful bead arrangements representing segments of the infinite Pi equation. Each 5th grade class worked on exciting projects. In 5vE, students used non-standard measurement tools to calculate cookie circumferences, unlocking the secrets of Pi. In 5V, students created Pi Skylines and competed to memorize Pi's digits.
It was clear that everyone relished the opportunity to explore mathematics uniquely and enjoyably on Pi Day!
