"Oakland Spiders" visit Middle School
Last week, spiders visited the Middle School! The Physical Education Department welcomed the "Oakland Spiders," an Oakland-based professional Ultimate Disc (frisbee) team, to PE classes.
Students were taught how to play ultimate frisbee through different drills, skills work, and scrimmages. The Spiders compete in the Ultimate Frisbee Association (UFA). Their mission and reason for joining us were to entertain and inspire the 6th graders to lead healthier, more connected lives through the sport and to give back to their community in meaningful ways.
