Lower School Spring Concert Celebrates The Great Outdoors

On Tuesday, the Lafayette-Orinda Presbyterian Church buzzed with anticipation as students gathered for the highly awaited Spring Concert. Kicking off the evening, the Bentley Lower School Chorus delivered a heartwarming performance, igniting the stage for a musical experience.

Kindergarten stole the spotlight with their rendition of "Free to be You and Me," emphasizing the significance of individuality. Their innocent voices infused the auditorium with joy and optimism, resonating with the song's uplifting message.

Each grade level offered a unique musical journey, from nostalgic 1st graders revisiting a song sung by current 5th graders in their early years to imaginative 2nd graders portraying kangaroos and emus, showcasing remarkable talent and creativity.

The 3rd and 4th graders dazzled the audience with their musical prowess and stage presence, while the night's highlight undoubtedly belonged to the 5th graders. Making their debut in the concert spotlighting the school's instrument program, they exhibited dedication and skill with confidence and flair.

Special recognition was given to Mr. Clark Brown, the Upper School Jazz Teacher, pianist Jesse Micek, and supportive classroom teachers. However, the loudest applause was reserved for Ms. Lowry and Mr. Pannell, whose guidance brought the concert to life.

The Spring Concert was a resounding success, celebrating individuality, talent, and community spirit. It served as a poignant reminder of music's ability to unite and inspire, leaving everyone eagerly awaiting Bentley School's next musical masterpiece.
