Snack and Chat | Learning French Unit “En Vacances”
In preparation for the 8th-grade trip to Pinnacles National Park, the French D class spent our 75-minute period class exercising their French language skills by chatting about vacations and traveling.
We got to know everyone in the class and we learned — in French — about their vacation preferences. Oh, and there were snacks.

What method of transportation do you prefer?
What is the longest trip you’ve ever taken?
Can you pass me a croissant?
Casual conversation and snack time is one of our favorite rituals in French D. It gets our Middle Schoolers exercising their French language skills outside of textbooks and tests, and it’s awesome to be able to tie our unit “En Vacances” into our real-life school trip this week.
